Marty was born in Faribault, MN on November 11, 1966. He was one of 8 children. He is the son of Mike and Joan Godfrey. He is survived by his daughter, Lacy, his parents, brothers and sisters, his girlfriend Shannon, his step children Sara and Cory... among numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren. He is now and will forever be loved by everyone who took the time to know him... he will always be remembered by friends and family... And those to whom he was a father figure- Abbie, Orrie, and Seth... He was friends with Tom & Deb Watson, Shawn & Amy Kester, and many many more!!! Marty was such a Funny and Caring guy. If you ever needed a helping hand he was there- most times without being asked. He loved man stuff. Hunting, fishing, range shooting, poker... you name it! He could do it! He was a handy man, a welder, and an avid outdoors man. May we always honor the memory of him.
